IT Enterprise Architect III, Full Time, First Shift

The Enterprise Architect’s primary responsibility is to define, guide, and govern the enterprise technology architecture strategy for the healthcare organization. This role aligns business strategy, clinical operations, infrastructure, network, applications, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and integration platforms to support high-quality patient care, operational excellence, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and innovation across the health system.  Leads enterprise architecture strategy for AI, machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, and intelligent automation platforms across clinical, operational, financial, and administrative domains.
The Enterprise Architect partners with executive leadership, clinical stakeholders, operational teams, and IT departments to develop scalable, secure, and sustainable technology roadmaps that support organizational priorities and long-term modernization initiatives.

Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance 
•    Develops and maintains enterprise architecture standards, principles, and technology roadmaps aligned to healthcare business and clinical objectives. 
•    Partners with executive leadership, clinical leadership, operational departments, and IT teams to align technology investments with organizational priorities. 
•    Leads enterprise architecture governance processes, including architectural review boards, standards reviews, and technology lifecycle management. 
•    Evaluates emerging technologies, cloud platforms, AI capabilities, interoperability solutions, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital health innovations. 
•    Defines target-state architecture across infrastructure, applications, data, integration, cloud, security, and end-user technologies. 
•    Establishes architecture patterns and best practices to support scalability, resiliency, security, and operational efficiency. 
•    Ensures enterprise technology decisions support HIPAA, regulatory, cybersecurity, and healthcare compliance requirements. 
•    Provides strategic guidance for modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, network transformation, automation, DevOps, and digital healthcare platforms. 
 

Solution Design & Technology Leadership 
•    Provides architectural leadership for enterprise initiatives involving clinical systems, ERP platforms, integration engines, data analytics, identity management, and infrastructure modernization, AI platform architecture, Data & AI architecture ownership, Imanging, Finops governance. 
•    Collaborates with infrastructure, security, application, and operational teams to design integrated enterprise solutions. 
•    Reviews and approves technical designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and future-state architecture. 
•    Leads technical assessment and due diligence activities for vendor solutions and strategic technology partnerships. 
•    Identifies technology risks, dependencies, gaps, and opportunities for optimization. 
•    Supports business continuity, disaster recovery, and high-availability architecture planning for critical healthcare systems. 
•    Mentors architects, engineers, analysts, and technical teams on enterprise architecture practices and standards. 
 

Operational & Project Leadership 
•    Participates in strategic planning, PMO governance, and enterprise project prioritization processes. 
•    Supports large-scale enterprise initiatives from concept through implementation and operational transition. 
•    Partners with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of enterprise programs. 
•    Facilitates cross-functional collaboration across IT and business departments. 
•    Provides executive-level presentations, architecture reviews, and strategic recommendations. 
•    Assists in developing business cases, cost models, and technology investment strategies. 
•    Participates in incident reviews and root cause analysis activities for major enterprise-impacting events. 

Documentation & Standards Management 
•    Maintains enterprise architecture documentation, standards, diagrams, reference architectures, and technical roadmaps. 
•    Develops and maintains current-state and future-state enterprise architecture models. 
•    Documents integration strategies, security considerations, infrastructure dependencies, and operational support models. 
•    Participates in policy and standards development for enterprise technologies. 
•    Creates executive summaries, technical reports, and architectural recommendations for leadership review.
