<p><u>Project Overview</u></p>
<p>Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC contractor, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.</p>

<p><u>Position Overview</u></p>
<ul>
<li>As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the development of Mechanical systems and equipment for the Poland Nuclear project by preparing studies, piping and instrumentation diagrams, calculations, engineering specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, performing technical bid evaluations, and more in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. This position will require working with other functions and disciplines in a team environment.</li>
<li>Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full time presence in the Warsaw execution office followed by a short-term assignment (less than 12 months) at our US NS&E office in Reston, VA. At the culmination of the short-term assignment, the candidate will return to the Warsaw office to continue the position. </li>
</ul>
<p><u>Responsibilities</u></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate within the mechanical group and other disciplines/functions in developing system designs including but not limited to Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), calculations, data sheets, material requisitions, and engineering specifications.</li>
<li>Resolve technical issues related to the discipline including any required interface with other disciplines, functions, vendors, and/or client.</li>
<li>Prepare 2-D CAD Intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) based on sketches and redline drawings. </li>
<li>Review drawings and documents prepared ensuring incorporation of drafting standards, procedures, discipline standards, and other national standards, as required. </li>
<li>Responsible for data integrity of lists (equipment, line, valve, in-line components, etc.) associated with P&IDs. </li>
<li>Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work products.</li>

<p><u>Qualifications and Skills</u></p>
<p>Basic Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>Level I - BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college, or in lieu of degree, six (6) years of progressive related experience.</li>
<li>Level II - BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with one (1) year of progressive related experience, or in lieu of degree, seven (7) years of progressive related experience.</li>
<li>Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.</li>
<li>Must be authorized to live and work in Poland without sponsorship.</li>
