The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Holman is looking for a Chief of Staff, who will be supporting the Fleet Transformation core team with strategic topics. This role is pivotal in orchestrating our growth, aligning departments, and driving key outcomes. It involves managing complex, strategic projects and acting as a bridge between the Transformation stakeholders and other senior executives. The Chief of Staff will act as a strategic advisor, supporting decision-making with data and ensuring all executives are informed and updated.

What will you do?

  • Strategic planning: Responsible for aligning departmental strategies with the organization's overall goals, adapting as the company grows and be a trusted advisor who gives honest opinions and different perspectives on strategic topics.
  • Operational efficiency: Streamline ways of working and improve processes to support the organization's growth and scalability.
  • Leadership support: Provide strategic support and advice to the executive team, aiding in decision-making and planning, making sure the executive team is well informed and ready for all engagements.
  • Organization: Coordinate meetings and schedules. Responsible for prepping agendas, briefings, and materials for executive meetings.
  • Communication: Assist leadership in communicating the vision and decisions to the rest of the company. Facilitate communication between the executive and other members of the leadership team, disseminating important information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Oversee cross-departmental projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and align with strategic objectives.
  • Data Analysis: Support strategic decision making by analyzing key data, presenting insights to leadership for actionable strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company in various external settings, building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Innovation and Change Management: Drive innovation and manage organizational changes effectively, ensuring we adapt to new opportunities and challenges.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • Master's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
  • 8+ years’ experience in a lead or strategic role, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Experience in management consulting with a focus on strategic planning is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and align organizational strategies.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, experienced in financial analysis and corporate strategy.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, adept at handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Capacity for innovative thinking and adaptability, crucial in a growing company.
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function
