Job Summary The Advancement Officer for Mid-Level Donors is responsible for the management of all aspects of mid-range donor relationships. This includes Point of Entry events and collaboration on the direction of the Impact Partner program. The Advancement Officer will follow a “Relational Development Model,” cultivating relationships with mid-level donors, soliciting support, elevating gift levels, and expressing appreciation. This position reports to the Executive Director of Advancement and will collaborate with the other Mid-Level Officer, Office Administrator, and Special Events Manager. Duties/ResponsibilitiesAdvancement Officer to Mid-level Donors
- Develop relationships with approximately 100-150 mid-level donors ($1,000-$9,999 gift range) with the greatest gift capacity (based on current giving and giving capacity) and grow their affinity to DTS using established donor protocols (i.e., meetings, phone calls, emails, notes, etc.).
- Solicit gifts from qualified prospects and current donors for various other DTS funding initiatives.
- Build upon fiscal year end and calendar year end campaigns with personal calls and emails to attract donors and increase participation.
- Develop and implement point of entry events at DTS extension sites to help cultivate and activate donor relationships. These events are feeder activities for the Impact Partner program.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure communications are aligned and consistent with the overall DTS messaging and brand.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, information, and activities using CRM software.
- Represent DTS at events, conferences, and gatherings to promote advancement initiatives and build relationships. This may include Story of Scripture conferences, and other donor gatherings.
Impact Partner Program Management
- Identify and cultivate donors who will commit to a multi-year plan of support identified as Impact Partners.
- Inform and inspire Impact Partners to continue and increase their support through a series of point of entry, cultivation, and fundraising events as well as personal relationship building.
- Communicate with Impact Partners by sending Seminary updates, gift reminders at fiscal year end and calendar year end, cards, invitations to Seminary events, and regular phone/email communication.
- Research, using Wealth Engine, the giving capacity of Impact Partners to qualify and develop a strategy to fully develop each unassigned donor.
- Track Impact Partner giving and thank donors.
- Collaborate with the events team and advancement leadership on the recruitment of table hosts and invitations (personal and mass email) for Impact Partner events.
- Travel as necessary (15-20%) to help with Impact Partner events in other cities, including: Fort Worth, Houston, DC, Atlanta, or other DTS extension sites.
- Work with Advancement events team on invitations, programs, speakers, and pledge cards.
- Lead gift processing and report past-event results.
Key Measurable Components of Advancement Officer for Mid-level Donor’s Role:
- Maintenance of viable relationships with new and existing mid-level donors.
- Increase in mid-level donors and gift income.
- Increase in the number of Impact Partners and Impact Partner levels of commitment.
- Direction of successful point of entry events and protocol for mid-level donors.
- Elevation of mid-level donors to major donor capacity.
