Avionics Test Engineering offers an array of innovative test equipment solutions for Collins Aerospace products and programs. We serve internal customers, including our manufacturing and service centers, as well as external customers – domestic and international. 

The primary responsibility for this position is to assist test engineers in developing and maintaining test solutions. The student who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. This position will utilize software development and debug skills or hardware schematic capture on multi-rack automated test stations. Typical test stations include components such as switch systems, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies and other digital related equipment. This role is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

• You will review product designs and analyze test requirements. 
• You will design test fixtures and interconnects.
• You will develop automated test software and user interfaces. 
• You will verify test results are accurate, repeatable and reliable.

• You will learn how to translate design requirements into real world solutions.
• You will learn techniques in test automation.
• You will learn how to present technical information to peers and internal management.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Software skill in object-oriented programming is a plus. 
• Experience with schematic capture tools.
• Familiarity with the use of basic test equipment.
