As Shield AI is continuing its profound period of growth, the Company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director. This selected candidate will be a key member of the team for the Company overall, and he or she will lead all elements of HR, talent, and organizational capability. As such, the selected candidate must be able to navigate, interact, and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. It is essential that the individual possess the excellent people skills necessary to foster an environment that supports respect, safety, quality, business excellence, superior performance, and continuous improvement. This role will report directly to the Chief of Staff and is accountable for the overall performance and impact of People Experience.
Salary Range: Base + Bonus + Bene

This role will report directly to the Chief of Staff and is accountable for the overall performance and impact of People Experience.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and execution of an HR Strategy and related Execution Plan along with shorter-term plans and initiatives to achieve strategic objectives.
- Designs and develops a top-notch HR organization that is structured in a manner that delivers leading-edge HR strategies and optimizes HR service delivery to all levels of the organization. Ensures a strong focus on internal client satisfaction.
- Provides HR advice and counsel to the Executive Team on HR issues.
- Develop and implement sound HR programs and recruiting strategies that will help to drive exceptional talent and distinguished employee performance throughout the business.
- Connects and translates enterprise-wide human capital efforts and objectives to business objectives and key performance measures for the company (i.e., workforce planning, performance management, succession/talent planning, retention strategies, etc.).
- Ensures that all HR professionals can act as strategic business advisors to the executive/senior management of his/her business unit or function regarding key organizational, management and employee issues while ensuring consistent business practices and strategies.
- Participates in the performance management process, including year-end formal performance evaluations, and the documentation and administration of performance plans. Counsels managers on appropriate action items and next steps of the performance plan process.
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of HR experience; developing, implementing and aligning HR programs across the enterprise. Prior experience in a hyper growth organization is critical
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; leading an HR division.
- Strong HR functional expertise with HR strategy, talent management and organizational effectiveness across multiple sites. Experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work as a “hands-on” manager and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" to get things done.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgment.
- A proven track record of having developed and delivered human resources integrations within multi-site environments and teams that materially improved an organization’s employment brand and business results.
- Ability to think strategically, but also focus on tactical and operational issues. Demonstrated financial and business acumen commensurate with a senior leadership position.
- Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining strong talent along with a track record of building strong and effective teams of people with complementary skills.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing recruiting and retention strategies and initiatives.
- Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity, and trust-building behaviors in all dealings is essential and required in this role.
- Highly articulate, orally and written, along with strong presentation skills.
- You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree, etc
- Experience in senior HR role in a technology company (preferred).
