Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facilities and equipment. This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and supervising a team of technicians to maintain the functionality and efficiency of our facilities and equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Work with the facilities manager on making and prioritizing tasks needed at all locations, overseeing, and working with the other maintenance staff to ensure the work is done in a timely and proper manner.
- Create lists of materials, place orders, and track the delivery of materials.
- Check service tickets daily to ensure all maintenance issues are addressed promptly and orderly.
- Monitors all H.V.A.C. systems for space temperature and addresses any concerns brought up by staff.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office, store, warehouse, and outdoor environment and requires servicing multiple locations utilizing a company vehicle.
Physical Demands:
The employee will regularly perform tasks that may require bending, climbing, and lifting heavy objects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity with a minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in repair and maintenance of electrical, H.V.A.C., plumbing, construction, and demolition.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, working a varying schedule to support the needs of the business.
