Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to join our growing accounting organization. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, supporting the monthly close process, and contributing to continuous process improvements across the accounting function.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly learn existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate effectively with the accounting team to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve scalability. This role requires a strong GAAP accounting foundation along with an enjoyment of solving complex accounting issues in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Perform analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
• Review account activity, investigate unusual transactions, and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and documenting accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Execute internal control activities while adhering to company policies and accounting best practices
• Support the annual external audit, including preparation of audit schedules, gathering supporting documents, and ensuring audit readiness
• Support internal and external reporting requirements
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other business functions to ensure the accuracy of financial information and improve cross-functional processes
• Participate in special projects and other ad hoc accounting initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• CPA or active progress toward CPA preferred
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience. Big 4 experience preferred
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in high-growth, private equity-backed, or rapidly scaling organizations preferred.
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment preferred
• Experience in data centers, technology, infrastructure, real estate, construction, or other capital-intensive industries is a plus
Skills & Abilities
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Demonstrated experience evaluating and improving accounting processes and documentation
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across the accounting organization
