About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use):
15VP Finance, Global Energy FP&A & Business Partner will be instrumental in guiding the financial strategy and planning for S&P Energy. This role will lead a diverse team across Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Business Partnering, and Strategic Financial Planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will excel in collaborating with senior leaders to provide transparency on financial performance and support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Lead the development of S&P Energy financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses, facilitating clear communication on financial performance to senior leadership and Enterprise Finance & Strategy
Liaise with senior leaders to ensure transparency on financial performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Prepare and present financial reports and strategic analyses to the CFO and senior management, including Quarterly Finance and Business Reviews.
Manage and guide S&P Energy Workforce Planning to ensure effective resource allocation and workforce optimization, analysing trends and impacts to support strategic initiatives.
Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Business Partnering:
Act as a trusted finance partner for the Horizon businesses leadership team, leading financial planning, reporting, and analysis of the product suite to enable delivery of the strategy
Ensure the optimization of ACV (Annual Contract Value) and revenue through metrics such as retention, wallet share and growth. Partner with the Product organization to contribute to the development of new solutions and their ongoing evolution.
Manage the revenue and expense, as well as operational planning, for critical industry leading conferences that S&P Global organizes
Provide decision support to senior leadership through detailed financial analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals and support successful integration plus synergy achievement of new businesses
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
Evaluate business cases for investments in growth opportunities (organic & inorganic) to determine optimal ROI, NPV, revenue uplift, and potential cost efficiencies.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $250,000 to $300,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on FP&A, strategic financial management, and team leadership.
Proven experience in managing high performing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
