Job Description
To start with, the position of Front End Innovation sits comfortably within the Research and Development department. An incredible diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! And as a Front end Innovation intern you will be asked to support in the set-up and execution of different innovation workshops both with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
Work on a personal project to be confirmed within the first 3 months of placement based on interest and current project work.
Support in different innovation workshops (e.g. innovation showcases)
Bring the outside world in: scout, research and analyze consumer & market trends, keeping technological relevance of projects in mind.
Investigate improved methods around innovation processes and technology or competitor scouting
Reporting, summarizing meetings, and presenting of findings and tasks.
Qualifications

But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:
Master students looking for a 6 months internship at our Utrecht Research and Development Center.
Background in Innovation management, Consumer Science and/or some marketing experience. A more technical background like Food Science or Sensory is also acceptable, if you have a passionate drive for innovation.
Good Autonomous and communication skills.
Fluent in English (Spoken and Written).
Interest and inquisitive in consumer centricity, marketing angles and consumer trends.
Good organizational skills (organizing, reporting, etc.)
You will be able to independently research, plan and execute various innovation workshops and activities. Being organized, timely and paying attention to detail for events execution. You will be able to provide reports/presentations and periodically communicate key findings to stakeholders. You will be a part of one of the teams within R&D, but also have the opportunity to interact with your peers in other departments within and outside of R&D. In addition, at busy times, you may be expected to support other ongoing project activities outside of your immediate team and do some tasks to support the immediate team.
