About the role

The Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System Administrator will manage Henry Schein's EPM Enterprise Cloud system, which consolidates global financial results into a centralized chart of accounts for internal reporting, executive decision-making, and public filings. This role oversees FCCS application administration, enterprise data governance, restatements, data conversions, and metadata/calendar monitoring. By collaborating across teams to resolve variances, maintain audit-readiness, and ensure reporting accuracy, the Manager plays a critical role in delivering reliable, timely financial consolidation and insight across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage FCCS application administration, including monthly change management requests, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Lead and oversee enterprise-wide data governance, including integrity controls, audit readiness (SOX), and compliance with external/internal reporting standards.
  • Perform routine system data integrity checks and maintain governance files, including monthly checklists and consolidation calendars. Update tools to reflect evolving systems and reporting timelines.
  • Direct data conversion and annual restatement cycles: plan and interpret changes, ensure alignment with reporting requirements, conduct historical data verifications, and reconcile restated data to maintain integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve data variances arising from close inputs, system integrations, or metadata/calendar changes. Escalate and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead development and implementation of system enhancements, including scripting, testing (with regression coverage), and involvement in new application launches.
  • Guide the Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) process from end to end, collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to gather requirements, define architecture, and manage roll-outs.
  • Maintain the development reporting pipeline, prioritize workload, and manage dependencies across EPM and extended teams.
  • Provide strategic input on system design to support evolving reporting needs and participate in long-term planning for system upgrades and optimization.
  • Support internal and external audits by managing documentation requests and reviewing testing evidence to ensure SOX compliance.
  • Reconcile system calculations, including intercompany eliminations, NCI, equity accounting, cash flow, and constant currency. Deliver ad hoc data analysis for senior leadership, legal, tax, and business development.
  • Build and maintain SmartView/Ad Hoc reports and reporting books. Support CAO Close meeting materials and collaborate with business units to resolve reporting discrepancies and align data flows.
  • Educate users and provide guidance on operational processes, data workflows, and system changes.
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to the future development of the EPM application suite in collaboration with external vendors.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle EPM Cloud, specifically FCCS, including application administration, configuration, metadata management, data exchange mapping, scripting, SmartView reporting, and security management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing data flows, resolving errors, ensuring seamless integrations, and conducting data integrity checks across platforms.
  • Strong understanding of financial close processes, including internal and external reporting, intercompany transactions, restatements, legal entity reporting, and multi-period historical reconciliations.
  • Proficient in reconciling advanced accounting scenarios such as non-controlling interest (NCI), equity accounting, cash flow, and constant currency adjustments.
  • Skilled in interpreting and translating business requirements into system specifications and architecture. Proven experience leading the BRD process and managing regression testing, system enhancements, and user feedback cycles.
  • Ability to manage evolving metadata, calendars, and governance tools in alignment with data processing timelines and reporting schedules.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues and apply best practices in system design and process optimization.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities, including goal setting, coaching, and expectation management.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
