Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

Job Summary:
The Lead Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Planner will lead planning and scheduling analysis and control activities expected to occur during the EPC phase of the project including:
- Engineering, procurement and construction schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery planning.
- EPC phase related reporting and analysis including P6 schedule quality metrics.
- Support EPC phase planning studies, forecasts, problem solving exercises.
- This role is located in the Reston, Virginia office and will require permanent relocation to the area if you are not currently located there. #LI-LO1
Major Responsibilities:
- Leads engineering, procurement and construction schedule development, data analysis, issue resolution, and improvement efforts.
- Leads efforts to establish and communicate milestones for the EPC phase of the project.
- Reviews scheduled EPC phase work activities to ensure their support of project milestones.
- Reviews EPC phase schedule resource loading and leveling and all bulk commodity design and purchase release curves.
- Ensures open communication with other organizations to support schedule maintenance and reporting.
- Identifies and works to resolve EPC phase related schedule restraints and complexities.
- Monitors and reports EPC phase critical path and schedule performance and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.
- Identifies alternatives for EPC schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.
- Prepares EPC schedule recovery plans when required.
- Ascertains that the correct scope of work and the project execution plan are reflected on all schedules.
