Position Summary

Currently, we are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in the Southern California area. This is an opportunity to join the growing US Immunology Business at BMS and build a best-in-class Dermatology Organization to support a new dermatology product to treat Psoriasis. The NP PA Clinical Specialist will have no direct reports and report into the Regional NPPA CS Director.

The Dermatology Clinical Specialist will have materials created to support them in their discussions. This role will apply a peer selling approach in a branded and unbranded facet.  This role will be responsible for generating demand while collaborating with key internal stakeholders and external office staff to improve patient outcomes. The role will require a high-level of coordination and collaboration with the BMS Dermatology Territory Business Managers, District Business Managers (DBM’s), Regional Marketers (RMK’s) and other functions (where applicable).

Key Responsibilities

  • The NPPA CS role reports to a Regional Director and works with their team of peers and other matrix counterparts to deliver on goal expectations, provide strong Dermatology presence and education, ensure flawless execution, and build a winning culture
  • Demand generation of the national target base of Dermatology NPPA
  • Face to face calls on target list of NPPA Influencers within specific market (unbranded and branded)
  • Conduct in office appts as needed to best meet the needs of the Derm NPPA community
  • Responsibility at congresses to support needs of all NPPA’s in attendance
  • Garners insights and meets the needs of the NPPA Dermatology community
  • Work with a dynamic matrix team to help address customer needs and ensure we deliver on our objective of demonstrating value to our customers
  • Collaborate with other field associates to ensure a one team approach in the Dermatology offices
  • Adhere and showcase BMS core values and principles, practice and implement the strongest of integrity principles
  • Input on opportunities with a solution focused mindset of driving innovation
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and execute the national sales and brand strategy in accordance with BMS polices
  • Interpret and integrate data to develop communication strategies to drive performance and execution within the role
  • Develop, review, and modify Territory-level business plans ensuring alignment with national plans
  • Develop, maintain and grow customer touchpoints
  • Innovate and identify new ways to build brand equity to exceed our short and long-term goals, ensuring all legal and compliance regulations are adhered to
  • Serve as a role model for Compliance and hold each member of the team accountable for Compliance by ensuring all practices within the team are compliant with the BMS Compliance Code of Conduct, PhRMA Code, OIG Guidelines, PDMA Policies and Procedures and all other applicable laws, regulations, policies & procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of in practice NP/PA experience in the injectable or biologic arena
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Past or current Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification required. *Does not need to keep certification active to remain in role.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including some weekend conferences
