Pacific Medical Dermatology

• Assist patients with checking in and checking out
• Respond and triage patient calls, e-mails, text messages, EMR portal messages following established protocols
• Preparing patients for exam, setting up and assisting with procedures per physician directions
• Prepare, clean and sterilize, and/or reprocess, instruments and maintain equipment.
• Assist patients with third party payer requirements including prior authorizations, obtaining and sending referrals
• Calling patient and providing patient instructions or test results per physician directions
• Ensure appropriate stocking of all examination rooms with supplies necessary for efficient patient care
• Provide any other duties requested by supervising physician within the scope of the practice for a certified medical assistant
