Senior Biomarker Technician

About the Role

Culmen International is looking for a Sr Biomarker Technician to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.

 

The Senior Biomarker Technician supports development and validation of biomarker assays using advanced molecular and immunological techniques to assess host response to infection.

What You’ll Do in Your New Role

 

• Prepare and analyze biospecimens for protein and nucleic acid markers.
• Run ELISA, MSD, qPCR, and multiplex immunoassays.
• Maintain assay documentation and quality controls.
• Coordinate with researchers to refine biomarker panels.
• Contribute to data interpretation and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or chemistry.
• 5+ years in biomarker or translational research lab.
• Strong background in immunoassays and molecular testing.
• Skilled in multianalyte platforms (e.g., MSD, Luminex).
• Knowledge of assay validation principles.
• Attention to detail and regulatory awareness.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.

Desired Qualifications

• Master’s degree a plus.
