Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist. In this essential role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our services, providing crucial support to our department in delivering exceptional client service and maintaining our commitment to excellence.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Specialist performs a wide range of human resources functions in collaboration with the HR team to support the employee lifecycle across the firm. This position is responsible for managing the HR onboarding process for new hires, including pre-employment activities, new hire orientation for selected departments, HR systems administration, and required employment documentation. The Human Resources Specialist serves as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries and provides administrative support for HR operations, policies, and employee records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the HR onboarding processes after offer acceptance through completion of required HR onboarding activities.
- Collaborate with Office Administrators, Information Technology, Accounting, and other internal stakeholders pre, peri, and post onboarding for efficient processing.
- Manage the completion of the new hire soft landing including company property, system, and portal set-up, etc.
- Conduct New Hire HR Orientations and scheduled HR new hire check-in’s.
- Serve as the primary liaison/point-of-contact for general HR inquiries and requests from employees, referring to the HR Manager for any complex or highly sensitive matters.
- Process and resolve HR requests through JIRA .
- Maintain accurate employee records within the Firm's HRIS.
- Partner with the HR Manager to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within HR services.
- Participate in HR projects and perform other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on process improvement
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms
- Strong working knowledge of human resources principles, employment practices, and applicable employment laws
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum three years of experience in a human resources administrative support capacity
- Minimum two years of HRIS experience
- Experience working in a professional services or multi-office environment preferred
- Experience facilitating employee orientations or training sessions
