Provide senior-level project and operational support to the Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Laboratory (Code 614), overseeing the operational functions essential to the Laboratory’s success. This role ensures the effective execution of day-to-day activities as well as special initiatives, requiring deep expertise in NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) systems and the ability to respond with accuracy and urgency to evolving needs and deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
• Coordinate Agile-based project activities, sprint planning, and milestone tracking to ensure timely deliverables.
• Lead SAP procurement processes in scientific equipment purchases, ensuring full compliance with federal acquisition (FAR) and funding regulations.
• Perform complex and confidential project support related functions to ensure assigned department operations flow smoothly. Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring/ongoing projects.
• Prepare, review, and manage confidential correspondence, reports, and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Laboratory and Agency standards.
• Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive records and tracking systems, supporting effective data management and operational transparency.
• Manage risk assessments, change control documentation, and asset tracking for both domestic and international projects to ensure accountability and compliance.
• Facilitate internal/external audits, workforce coordination, and budget tracking to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
• Direct preparation, organization, and submission of documents in accordance with NASA directives and applicable federal statutes.
• Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and publication records, including management of referred publication submissions through STRIVES for required approvals.

Requirements:
• Proven experience managing procurement processes and SAP requisitioning, with knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and funding compliance.
• Strong background in audit preparation, risk assessment, and change control for domestic and international projects.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and implement effective operational solutions.
• Experience providing senior-level project support and analytical support within a scientific or research organization.
• Familiarity with NASA GSFC systems, policies, and procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in improving workflows and maintaining confidentiality with professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level reports and correspondence.
• Strong customer service orientation, with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
• Proven decision-making, critical thinking, and leadership abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job. Some travel may be required.

Minimum education and experience:
Bachelor���s degree and five year of experience or eight or more years of professional related experience in lieu of degree.
