Senior Market Actuary

Working as part of the Market & Business Development Department, this role contributes to business development activities and manages market opportunities and client relationships. Identify and optimize opportunities at clients by analyzing their business and risks. This role has an extra focus on Financial Solutions, Asset Intensive Reinsurance and Longevity.
Partnering – Meet with clients on a regular basis to learn of requests/opportunities.
Accomplish business development activities by researching and developing market opportunities and plans.
Maintain and establish client relationships
Collect and continuously update market data/figures, both insurance and reinsurance
Identify market needs and conduct complex market/product analysis
Contribute to development of new insurance and/or reinsurance solutions
Apply actuarial models for the evaluation of reinsurance offers in cooperation with pricing team
Support in developing market strategy and business plan
Give presentations to clients and participate in internal and external market events
Actively contribute to internal and external knowledge sharing.
Essential
Experience of working in insurance/financial services with a focus on mathematical/statistical or actuarial work.
Comprehensive knowledge in insurance mathematics.
Strong customer skills
Strong ability to explain complex cases in simple ways.
Desirable
Programming/coding skills (SQL, R´+, Python or Visual Basics)
Personal competences
Ability to work collaboratively, contributing to building cohesive teams (including effective collaboration with regional and global support teams).
Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Required Education
University degree/ Master’s degree in mathematics or economics with the main focus on Mathematics and statistical skills or equivalent experience
Preferably membership in actuarial association/qualified as an actuary or equivalency from a recognized organization
