Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a professional accountant position that serves in a support role to the Bureau of Finance and Accounting. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Checks for CHDs are received, sorted, and prepared for the mailroom to pick up daily. Warrants are enveloped and readied to be mailed out daily or held and requestors notified when special handling is requested. Payroll warrants, special payments and salary refunds are received, identified, and prepared to be sent over night by the mailroom to the CHDs and program office or picked up by the appropriate staff. Email for payroll checks to be picked up is sent by 3 pm the Thursday before payday. Special Projects that may be assigned to the Systems & Operations Unit.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of the FLAIR accounting system and state disbursements procedures. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the use of database software. Incumbent must have a clear understanding of auditing principles and methodology.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of proficiency in Excel.

Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the position.
