Senior Sourcing Manager

Job Description:

Banking & Corporate Services Strategic Procurement in Global Procurement is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, conducting tenders and planning and undertaking complex contract negotiations for Non-IT procurement projects. A particular focus is on reducing costs, complexity and risk.

The Senior Sourcing Manager is accountable for delivering the sourcing vision and strategy to meet Deutsche Bank’s business goals across categories with focus on Banking Services, Market Data, Corporate Services.

The Senior Sourcing Manager will have the experience and aptitude to hit the ground running.  The individual sourcing programmes are designed to deliver the cost savings and flexibility improvements that will be needed to contribute significantly to The Bank’s publicly stated efficiency and renewal goals.

Will work across all Non-IT categories and projects will be assigned on an ad-hoc basis. Will support the Third Party Contracting program within Banking & Corporate Services Strategic Procurement.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

• Leads complex negotiations whilst managing matrixed internal stakeholders
• Manages sourcing deals, driving the supplier selection and the negotiation process for products across all Non-IT categories
• Carrying out market analysis and tenders to select suppliers for products, services and strategic projects
• Collaborates with Divisional Vendor Management Office (DVMO)  and Business Stakeholders to review strategic partner products and services
• Leads the development of annual and medium-term strategic plans, in collaboration with clients and colleagues, for all new sourcing projects. Identifies specific sourcing projects/initiatives for the year including expected savings, resource requirements and associated timescales for completion. Executes strategies to extract supply-side savings and manage demand-side consumption to lower the Bank’s Total Cost of Ownership for external spend
• Highlights operational, regulatory and other risks.

Experience / Exposure:

• Relevant experience in Procurement (IT or non-IT) with experience in relationship management at C-level
• Senior level experience in commercial negotiations
• Successfully completed studies in business administration or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work in virtual, global teams in a dual reporting matrix organization
• Third Party Contracting expertise.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and verbal). German is beneficial.
