The Core Market Development Intern will play a vital role in supporting the distributed clean energy development team at RWE Clean Energy. The development intern will delve into various responsibilities, including reviewing potential sites across targeted states in the U.S., acquiring knowledge and applying the Project Development method, and utilizing online tools and techniques. Your role will involve analyzing site suitability, local permitting requirements, and utility grid characteristics to evaluate project viability.
Responsibilities:

Reviewing potential sites in targeted states throughout the U.S. for solar project development

Learning and applying the Project Development method and process using various online tools and techniques

Analyzing site suitability, local permitting requirements, and utility grid characteristics to assess project viability
Qualifications:

Enrolled in an accredited US university program, in your junior or senior year pursuing a degree in Engineering, environmental studies, sustainability, or business degree.

Prior internship experience in the renewable field is preferred

Strong interest in the renewable energy industry

Exceptionally organized with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel

Experience conducting research using tools beyond Google

Outgoing personality, self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills
This is a full-time 12-week summer internship starting at the end of May, located in our Valhalla, New York office.
Pay range:The hourly range for this position in New York City is $23 - $25 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
