Your role will involve bringing innovative solutions to support our quest to achieve zero injuries,  zero compliance events, and hazard elimination to our work force. 

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

• Candidate offers support for the Environment Safety & Health Manager.
• This role will offer the candidate  specific technical skills to support environmental, health and safety programs and policies.
• They will gain knowledge and  perform clerical tasks in order to increase the efficiency of the EH&S department and leaders, as well as monitor EH&S department systems and offices for day-to-day operational issues.
• Learn, create and maintain proper documentation to achieve and maintain compliance and prepares for investigations.

What You Will Learn:

• Develop strong collaboration and communication skills by working closely with site leadership, operations teams, and external stakeholders (such as regulatory agencies and contractors).
• Gain experience in developing and implementing EHS programs tailored to a manufacturing facility
• How to conduct EH&S inspections and analyze audit findings to develop corrective actions to achieve and maintain safe work practices
• Develop knowledge of regulations, ensuring the company’s Environment, Health and Safety policies and training are aligned with current laws and industry standards. 
• Learn how to manage safety incidents, including conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and developing/implementing corrective and preventive actions

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
