LinQuestAbout the role
Position Summary
LinQuest is seeking an innovative and highly-motivated engineer to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force’s (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO.
The candidate will act as the Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) Systems Integrator, supporting the MILSATCOM Product Support Delta (SSC/CGM). The COMSATCOM Systems Integrator will be part of the team leading the planning and initial integration of both new military and commercial SATCOM capabilities into the DoD in support of the Joint Force and Allied partners.
This position is ideal for a candidate who has an innovative mindset coupled with technical acumen and programmatic expertise, reporting to the SSC/CGM Business Operations Manager and working within the MILSATCOM Futures section to transition new systems and capabilities, facilitate modernization/enhancements for legacy systems, and maximize cross-program efficiencies internal to the current portfolio. The position requires the candidate to explore military/commercial capabilities in the industry, understand the technical aspects of integrating these capabilities to existing military infrastructure, and provide recommendations to the government customer for potential contract actions with the end state of building a more resilient portfolio of space-based telecommunications. This candidate will be an integral part in the development of the SSC/CGM Roadmap and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), capturing new MILSATCOM/COMSATCOM capabilities due to transition to operations and sustainment in the next 10 years. This effort is expected to result in efficiencies which lower total life-cycle sustainment costs, recognize quantifiable benefits to Joint and Allied warfighters, and increase overall combat readiness.
