If so, we’d like to talk with you about growing with us.</span></p></div><p>We are currently seeking a <strong>Training Program Specialist</strong> to work as a full-time consultant at a client site in&nbsp;<strong>East Hartford, CT</strong>. This position is based on a <strong>1-year<em> contract with the potential for extension</em></strong>. This is a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving safety culture and compliance.</p> <p>As a Training Program Specialist work directly with production teams to evaluate external training programs, assess workforce skill gaps, and build structured training plans across manufacturing disciplines.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br><strong><em>In this role, you will:</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Evaluate internal training frameworks across manufacturing disciplines to ensure alignment with operational needs and skill progression.</li> <li>Identify, assess, and compare external training opportunities from OEM vendors and local suppliers (e.g., HESCO, Motion Industries, Goodwin, etc.) to determine effectiveness and applicability.</li> <li>Participate in select training sessions alongside production employees to assess training quality, content, and delivery.</li> <li>Maintain and manage training records within the Covalent system, ensuring all completed training is accurately documented.</li> <li>Develop and maintain structured training plans in collaboration with MTS engineers and supervisors.</li> <li>Conduct workforce skill gap assessments and partner with supervisors to develop practical, timeline-driven plans for gap closure.</li> <li>Maintain and continuously update skill matrices, ensuring alignment with machine-specific requirements and production disciplines.</li> <li>Document and summarize training outcomes, including key skills and competencies covered in each training program.</li> <li>Track and manage machine-specific training disciplines to support operational readiness and compliance.</li> <li>Identify industry-standard training topics and integrate them into existing training programs and frameworks.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Training Manager and operations leadership to improve training effectiveness and workforce capability development.</li> </ul> <p><strong>SKILLS/EXPERIENCE<br><em>Minimum Skills and Requirements:</em></strong&
