POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for development and delivery of a comprehensive security training program to educate, enable, and empower Security Department Team Members and casino leadership to fulfill regulatory requirements while delivering superior guest service as established in Red Wind Casino’s Service Standards.

JOB SUMMARY: The Security Training Supervisor is a newly created position that will report to the Security Assistant Manager. The Security Training Supervisor will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of training policies, protocols, and curriculum development, with a view toward consistency, efficiency, best practices and limiting liability through the training of Red Wind Casino’s Security Team Members and general workforce in security and crisis-related matters. This position will lead the Security Training Academy program and provide instruction to all department instructors.

Requirements

Required skills and knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement or security experience, with at least 1 year in the casino/gaming industry; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1 year of training experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Field Training Officer, Instructor, Trainer, Academy Cadre, or similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security and surveillance systems and safety procedures.
  • Successful completion of casino-provided training in First Aid, CPR, AED, Workplace Violence Prevention, and Handcuffing, along with earning and maintaining instructor-level certifications for these topics (as directed).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract that must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Advanced report writing skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Proficiency in operating general office equipment, including personal computers and software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook, as well as telephone, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain a positive and professional image.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
  • Proven ability to complete the full training cycle, including assessing training needs, planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating.
  • Ability to assess learning capabilities, develop training strategies, track training objectives, and assess results.
  • Demonstrated ability to set high standards for professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • A thorough knowledge of accepted gaming and security procedures.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and make critical decisions while remaining calm and professional under stress.
  • Ability to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance during emergency situations.
  • Ability to create professional reports and business correspondence in accordance with casino standards.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with Team Members and internal/external partners.
