The Controller will be accountable for owning the accounting operations of the Finance Department across all corporate entities, including consolidating International Entities. This includes the production of monthly Consolidated Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement that can be relied upon by the team in a timely fashion. You will manage a team of accountants and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports, maintenance of Netsuite to ensure a quality system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of financial controls and procedures designed to mitigate risk. The Controller will also be responsible for ensuring that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards, as applicable.

Responsibilities:
- Full Ownership of Financial Statement Close Process and Financial Statement Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Full Ownership of NetSuite ERP system, including reviewing journal entries for accuracy
- Lead a team of 8 accountants, providing guidance and management
- Oversee AR and AP as part of Working Capital monitoring
- Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to ensure the team is following set processes that are repeatable daily / weekly / monthly
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives across corporate entities
- Coordinate annual Audit and Tax processes to ensure compliance with statutory deadlines. Overall management of relationships with outsourced accounting firms
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of the accounting team, encouraging you to be a thought leader
- Calculate and issue financial operating metrics (e.g. Days Payables Outstanding as part of AR Aging)
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants, including providing timely financial reporting to third party lenders
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation, with experience managing a team
- Experience closing financial statements for an International, multi-entity Corporation that needs to be Consolidated under Common Ownership
- Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or Certified Management Accountant strongly preferred
- General understanding of statutory laws and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS
- Proven experience in NetSuite Financial ERP System
- Knowledge of managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking
- Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills
- Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel
Nice to Have:
- While not a hard requirement, experience with crypto based products and services is a plus.
