ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an experienced Head of Government Property to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa. This is a critical position as Anduril continues to expand its operations across a wide variety of programs, contracts, and locations.
As a the Head of Government Property, you will oversee a team of Government Property Managers who direct the lifecycle management of customer owned property to ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). This role is integral to scaling Anduril’s operational excellence, offering you the opportunity to take ownership of property management processes while driving measurable impact across the site and organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and mentor a team of property and compliance professionals to establish and scale Anduril’s property management capabilities, ensuring alignment with company goals and program requirements.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of government, customer, company-owned, and capital property, including acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and disposition, ensuring compliance and accountability across all stages.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 52.245-1, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) part 252.244-7001, and Anduril’s internal property management policies.
- Analyze current processes to identify areas for improvement, implement systems that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support long-term operational success.
- Manage and execute compliance audits, both internal and external (e.g., Defense Contract Management Agency), ensuring Anduril maintains alignment with government, company, and capital property management regulations, while addressing corrective actions as necessary.
- Act as the primary customer contact for federal operations and government property activities, leading program reviews and collaborating with stakeholders to address cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Provide guidance and training to cross-functional teams on government and company property regulations, fostering compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify challenges and remove obstacles for your team and internal partners, engaging stakeholders to ensure effective resolution and program success.
- Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required management, professional, and technical talent.
- Problem solve and remove obstacles for your team and internal and external partners. Know how to think critically and engage the right teams to help.
- Communicate effectively to keep internal and external teams informed at all times. Use the necessary channels (Slack, email, meetings) to ensure stakeholders understand what needs to be accomplished and when.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience managing customer property.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring teams, with a demonstrated ability to manage and scale teams while fostering accountability, growth, and alignment with organizational goals.
- In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 52.245-1 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Part 245, with a proven ability to implement and maintain compliance systems.
- Extensive experience conducting compliance audits, including internal assessments and external reviews (e.g., DCMA and DCAA).
