Founding Software Engineer, Frontend

We are seeking a Founding Software Engineer, Frontend to own the end-to-end frontend development process for our platform. As the Founding Software Engineer, Frontend, you will closely partner with our customers, founders, and engineers to develop solutions that solve meaningful, albeit complex, problems in healthcare innovation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate End-to-End: Participate in the full product development lifecycle by immersing yourself in customer requirements, implementing high-quality software, and constantly integrating feedback to improve the customers’ user experience.

• Develop at High-Velocity: Rapidly build intuitive and performant frontend interfaces using modern engineering frameworks.

• Scale the System: Establish and continuously improve a design system of frontend components to promote a consistent user experience across the entirety of our platform.

• Set the Tone: Own engineering output and standards in order to guarantee product and operational excellence.

• Challenge Status Quo: Constantly challenge Heliux's holistic development engine to identify and exploit continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in frontend development for enterprise, preferably working on complex/data-intensive software systems.

• Mastery of frontend frameworks such as React (preferred), TypeScript, Critical Render Path (CRP), and CSS.

• Mastery of implementing design systems based on designs from Figma (or similar).

• Mastery of establishing strategies and frameworks for frontend testing.

• Demonstrated success developing successful products in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

• Demonstrated success amplifying teammates’ technical abilities through coaching and providing objective, constructive feedback.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and deploying containerized and serverless applications on GCP

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and processes

• Experience building integrations with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner

• A solid understanding of the healthcare industry, including familiarity with current trends and challenges in health tech
