Your Responsibilities

 

The C&F John Deere Training Center is seeking an individual that is passionate about developing themselves and others within a rapidly changing, technology driven environment.  As an Instructor on John Deere’s Construction and Forestry (C&F) Aftermarket & Customer Support Training (A&CS) Team located in Davenport, IA, you will:

 

• Assess the knowledge/skills needed to develop the careers of dealer parts and service professionals.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain training solutions on multiple construction products to support our dealers and customers.
• Work directly with assigned dealers to develop training plans and enable their training delivery capabilities through John Deere’s Certified Dealer Instructor (CDI) Program.

What Skills You Need

 

• Demonstrated passion for developing others in a formal education environment (virtual and/or traditional)
• Ability to author training materials and present in front of large groups on complex topics.
• Proactive mindset with excellent communication skills who thrives on facilitating problem resolution and working in a global team environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, mostly domestically with some occasional international travel.   (Heavier travel may be required, possibly including weekends, during large training events such as Spring Training or during a new product launch)
• Embrace change and actively seek continuous learning/upskilling opportunities.
• Microsoft Office tools knowledge (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

What Makes You Stand Out

 

• Experience on heavy equipment hydraulic/electrical/power train systems.  
• Customer support and/or marketing and sales experience with customer interaction regarding products, parts, technology and/or service
• Experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network processes, and broad product knowledge 

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, engineering, technology, marketing, or an associate’s degree with equivalent discipline
