They will be driven, resourceful and not feel intimidated by significant technical challenges. They will want to take ownership of the features they are working on and proactively drive improvements in software design and development practices. They will love to automate away manual toil and be interested in championing observability, continuous integration and deployment, scalability, security, and other non-functional requirements into our system. They will value team culture and see their success as the team’s success.</p> <p><br/><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u> </strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with analysis and documentation of technical requirements and user stories for assigned features, in accordance with the agile methodology employed by Diligent.</li> <li>To a reasonable degree of accuracy, definition, and estimation of development tasks for assigned features and user stories.</li> <li>Design, code, review, and test assigned features and user stories, in accordance with the agile methodology employed by Diligent.</li> <li>Contribute to the quality assurance/testing strategy for assigned features and perform technical tasks as required to support that strategy, including but not limited to the development of unit tests, test harnesses, tools, and automation hooks.</li> <li>Assist with the production of high-quality operational and system documentation as required.</li> <li>Assisting with the creation and maintenance of databases, environments, processes, standards, and tools supporting development and release activities, as required</li> <li>Assisting with analysis and resolution of Tier 3 support issues</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><u>Required Experience/Skills</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in a hands-on development role at a commercial software company</li> <li>Expertise in designing and implementing distributed enterprise software solutions.</li> <li>Excellent understanding of C++</li> <li>Successfully manage own workload, and take personal responsibility and ownership for delivery, behaviors, and self-improvement</li> <li>Experience in mentoring and technical interviewing</li> <li>Experience with Agile/SCRUM/Lean software development</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Preferred Experience/Skills</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Keen to learn more about new languages and frameworks</li> <li>Experience supporting multiple development teams</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript, and web frontend development</li> <li>Experience with AWS services and solutions</li> <li>Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with at least one CI/CD system</li> </ul> <p> </p><p><strong>What Diligent Offers You</strong> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Creativity is ingrained in our culture.</strong> We are innovative collaborators by nature.
