About the role

<p>We are looking for a <b>Senior Consultant</b> (GJA 17) for our<b> Center of Excellence Sustainability Expertise</b> within our Global Sustainability department. The CoE Sustainability Expertise delivers core expertise to our entire organisation on Climate, Nature and Human Rights (the core themes of our Global Sustainability Direction). We’re looking for a candidate who can help deliver on our <b>climate- and nature themes</b>.</p><p></p><p><b>Our Purpose</b></p><p>There is no denying that one of the biggest challenges for society is sustainability, in all its forms. We want to be a banking leader in building a sustainable future for our company, our customers, society and the environment. </p><p></p><p><b>The Global Sustainability Department </b></p><p>Our Global Sustainability Department, reports directly to the CEO, and oversees the Sustainability Direction of ING Group globally, including strategies to improve Sustainability for our customers, our community, and our colleagues. Our team of sustainability consultants integrate sustainability within our banking operations worldwide, across both Retail and Wholesale Banking markets, and covers advice and programme management across the full range of ESG objectives. We translate the interests of stakeholders into a sustainability strategy focused on maximising ING’s impact. We are both proactive and flexibly reactive, and our advice and actions support the sustainable transformation of ING, and by extension the transitions of our customers. </p><p>Our aspiration is to bring all parts of ING together to truly make the difference and be a banking leader in <span><span>sustainability. </span></span></p><p></p><p><b>Role &amp; Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Develop and implement methodologies and approaches for INGs climate and/or nature strategy.</li><li>Deliver sound expertise on climate/nature towards our (program) leads on the topics.</li><li>Pro-actively make suggestions towards internal stakeholders how to improve on our sustainability objectives.</li><li>Support the shaping and influencing of (upcoming) standards and regulation (e.g. deliver input for consultations and/or share views on impacts thereof internally). </li><li>Lead internal and external working groups where ING works together with other organisations to create coalitions for action.</li><li>Translate stakeholder needs and trends into practical advice and actions/objectives for (specific parts of) <span><span>the organisation.</span></span></li><li>Work for 60% of time to specific projects/topics and around 40% of
