Location: Wall Township, NJ (In Office)Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)Hourly Position: $23/hr ($45,000 annually)

Responsibilities

What Will You Do as a Claims Adjuster?

🔍 Problem-Solve Daily – Every claim is different, and no two days are the same. You'll be the primary problem-solver, helping injured workers navigate the claims process, removing obstacles to their recovery, and ensuring they receive the benefits they’re entitled to—all while balancing the needs of the employer and the insurance carrier.

 

🕵️‍♂️ Investigate Claims – You'll gather critical details by reviewing medical records, conducting interviews with injured workers, employers, and witnesses, and evaluating the extent of damages. You'll assess liability, determine benefits owed, and negotiate settlements, all while adhering to strict timelines and state regulations.

 

📞 Communicate & Collaborate Constantly – Expect to juggle multiple conversations throughout the day, whether you're explaining benefits to an injured worker, discussing strategy with an employer, negotiating with attorneys, or updating medical providers. Strong communication and quick decision-making are key to keeping claims on track.

 

📂 Manage a High Volume of Claims Efficiently – You’ll be responsible for handling multiple claims at once, each with its own set of deadlines, legal requirements, and moving parts. Organization, prioritization, and the ability to pivot quickly between tasks are essential.
