This role  is a deep subject matter in inclusion, diversity and equity strategies and initiatives accountable across the US Region aligned with the Enterprise strategy and initiatives. 

  • Regional leadership: function as a regional lead for the U.S. within a global matrix work environment, ensuring that regional inclusion strategies are aligned with global goals and practices. The role is a member of the Global Office of Inclusion Centre of Excellence working matrixed environment, dually reporting to BMO Financial Group Chief Inclusion Officer and BMO’s U.S. CHRO.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide expert advice and counsel to the US CHRO and HR/business leader on US regional inclusion matters, ensuring alignment with organization goals. A thought partner advising on best practices internally and externally finding trends and potential emerging risks.
  • Execution excellence: Execute inclusion initiatives with excellence, attention to detail, proper socialization, review and/or approvals while ensuring initiatives and strategies have measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.  May require a direct approach to managing operational tasks and diving into the details to ensure deliverables are met in a timely basis.
  • Strategic presentation: Strategically presenting at organization events and representing BMO  externally in the US, as needed.
  • Leadership Challenge: Effectively challenge and support business leaders in decision-making and strategic direction related to inclusion. The role is expected to specifically work collaboratively with the Direction of North American consulting.
  • Barrier removal: identify and address barriers to inclusion within the organization, implementing effective strategies to overcome them.
  • Influential leadership: Show strong leadership and influence skills, capable of driving change and gaining buy-in from senor leaders and stakeholders
  • Will manage one senior regulatory compliance and governance professional.

Critical Skills: strategic thinking, regulatory knowledge, influential leadership, people management and working in a matrix global environment with regional accountability.

Provides expert advice and counsel related to talent acquisition strategy & design through a variety of business group & leadership engagements to execute the enterprise talent strategy and support the business group strategy. Supports/defines the strategic direction, governance design, program design and execution of the talent acquisition centre of excellence. Completes specific operational / strategic work to deliver business results and/or minimize risk.

• Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.

• Provides advice and guidance for the enterprise and/or assigned business/group on implementation of talent acquisition solutions.

• Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide talent acquisition insights and recommendations.

• Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.

• Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.

• Enhances subject matter expertise and keeps abreast of talent acquisition trends by reading journals and articles, and assists in the research, assessment and customization of internal and external information relevant to the theory and practice of talent acquisition.
