Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Lead position is a working leadership role that builds upon the responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician by adding higher-level oversight, coordination, and communication duties. This individual serves as a key point of contact for all building and facility-related maintenance across Powder Mountain.
Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Lead will provide direction to fellow technicians, establish daily priorities, assign and monitor tasks, and coordinate ongoing and upcoming projects. This position requires critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to assess and respond to evolving situations in real time. While actively participating in day-to-day maintenance tasks, the Lead will also ensure that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Powder Mountain’s standards. This position is full-time, year round, hourly and requires to be on-site as well as work weekends.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in resort, hospitality, or remote/mountain environments strongly preferred.
- Skilled in leading and managing maintenance technicians—assigning, coordinating, and overseeing tasks related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a leadership and technician team.
- Strong background in troubleshooting and completing technical repairs across multiple disciplines:
- Electrical & lighting
- Plumbing systems
- HVAC and boiler maintenance
- Building automation controls
- Carpentry, painting, and finish work
- Doors and door closures
- General building maintenance
- Excellent prioritization and task management skills with a keen attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
- Ability to ski or snowboard to remote on mountain facilities as well as safely operate a snowmobile or side by side
Administrative & Technical Skills
- Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive) and comfortable with learning new software. Familiarity with CMMS preferred.
