What You’ll Be Doing
Cadmus is seeking an Associate to support the Economic Engagement and Private Sector Development team, especially the US APEC-RISE program. US APEC-RISE works to strengthen the policy environment across the Asia-Pacific region to promote inclusive economic growth, advance regional economic cooperation, and expand markets for U.S. goods and services. Through US APEC-RISE, we deliver technical, operational, and material assistance to APEC economies, including policy analysis and formulation, development of case studies, economy-level capacity building, and the design and implementation of workshops and related technical activities. The program supports regional priorities through tailored technical expertise and collaborative engagement with public and private sector stakeholders and is managed by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs.
The Associate will support multiple technical workstreams as part of an integrated project team, with a focus on coordination and day-to-day implementation. The role involves working closely with State/EAP, U.S. interagency counterparts, consultants, and regional partners to support execution of program activities and maintain alignment with approved work plans, timelines, and budgets. This position requires strong organization, clear communication, and attention to detail. The Associate will develop a working understanding of relevant policy areas and may take on increasing responsibility over time based on experience and performance.
Outside of US APEC-RISE, the Associate may also support other Cadmus projects and business development efforts, as needed.

Responsibilities
- Support implementation of US APEC-RISE workstreams, ensuring activities and deliverables align with approved work plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate with State/EAP, U.S. interagency partners, consultants, and regional stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of program activities
- Track progress across workstreams, anticipate risks or bottlenecks, and elevate issues with proposed solutions
- Contribute to the development of high-quality written products and presentations, including reports, concept notes, and briefing materials
- Support the design and delivery of workshops and technical assistance activities, including agenda development, speaker identification and outreach, and coordination of logistical and operational requirements
- Maintain clear and consistent communication across internal teams and external counterparts to support alignment and client responsiveness
- Apply QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of deliverables
- Contribute to proposal development, research, and other business development efforts, as needed
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in economics, public policy, international affairs, or a related field with at least 6-8 years of experience or a bachelor's degree with at least 8-10 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in program or project coordination, preferably supporting international affairs, economic policy, trade, or related technical assistance programs, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and track progress against timelines and budgets
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including U.S. Government clients, interagency partners, consultants, and international or regional counterparts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience contributing to high-quality reports, briefing materials, presentations, or other client-facing deliverables and applying QA/QC standards
- Experience supporting workshops, meetings, or capacity building activities, including agenda development, speaker coordination, and logistical support
- Proficiency with common project manage
