Plant WD Finishing Operator 2nd Shift

Position Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:  Responsible for operating the coater at top efficiency.

Essential Duties:

• Operate the coater at top efficiency

• Control the latex cup weight using the latex control screen to ensure proper application

• Make sure the carpet is dry at the proper back temperature, regulating oven zone temperatures as needed

• Gap applicator roller weekly

• Operate foam application using the foamer application panel

• Control Mahlo settings to minimize bow and skew in pattern products

• Ensure the carpet and backing are pinning correctly on the tenter chain

• Monitor latex plows and puddle

• Keep work area clean

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, stoop, and climb steps

• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
