Summary 

Provide software and engineering support to the E-3 DRAGON Training System Support Center (TSSC) located at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in design, planning, installation, and support of computer systems, network hardware, software applications, and peripherals 

  • Performs setup at desktop and server level – installing, upgrading, implementing and configuring operating systems, applications, software, and hardware 

  • Installs patches and upgrades to production platforms 

  • Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, network and peripheral equipment. 

  • Exercises responsibility for the integrity, security, and maintenance of the systems 

  • Manage system security requirements 

  • Perform system security testing 

  • Must exhibit high performance and capability to work in a team environment 

  • Must be able to effectively deliver oral presentations to management and customers 

  • Must be capable of explaining and instructing technical data in non-technical terms 

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment 

  • Must be able to work overtime as required 

  • Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required 

Qualifications 

  • Experience with hardware/software platforms to include MS Windows and RedHat 

  • Experience in Microsoft Suite Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word) 

  • Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills 

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.) 

  • Experience supporting a network/platform of multiple client systems (Windows, Linux, VMware) 

  • Experience supporting Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management 

  • Endpoint management/reporting using Enterprise Antivirus Management server technologies 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, while effectively focusing on priority issues
