Job Description
NBCU’s Operations & Technology division supports NBCUniversal's portfolio of broadcast, cable and film businesses. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to provide strategic Human Resources support for various divisions within O&T’s Technical Operations organization. Technical Operations manages the people, processes, and systems that make up the NBCUniversal supply chain, in support of content creation, content distribution, monetization, optimization and revenue recognition.
This role will partner with an employee population in a variety of locations (NJ, NY, CT, CO, FL, CA etc.) Job responsibilities include but are not limited to providing HR support to the overall business and employee population, performance management, investigations, employee relations, and transactional support.
Job Duties:
- Business / Employee Support
- Build trust with assigned employee base by providing accurate and timely responses to employee inquiries
- Coordinate with HR support partners such as Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations to resolve matters
- Lead local employee engagement initiatives
- Work to resolve employee relations and organizational issues in a proactive and positive manner
- Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams and individual employees that further the mission, values and strategic vision of the business
- Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment and serve as an employee advocate.
- Performance Management
- Partner with business leaders to provide counsel and support related to performance management
- Ensure fair and consistent application of performance management practices
- Investigations
- Conduct investigations on behalf of the company
- Take employee statements, escalate as appropriate
- Ensure fair and consistent application of Company policy
- Accommodations
- Engage with employees in the interactive process
- Partner with business leaders and legal to determine appropriate workplace accommodations
- Transactional support
- Process transactions in the HR system providing overflow and/or backup support to HR Coordinator
- Ad hoc reporting and data analysis
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 3 years relevant HR professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all level
- Strong sense of urgency, highly organized with a proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance or direct supervision when necessary
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in Universal City, LA
- Must be willing to travel for work related business as necessary
- Must be available to work outside of normal business hours as needed
