Job Summary:

Cubic Transportation System's San Diego-based Engineering Operations team is a group of creative and passionate engineers tasked with accelerating CTS's digital solutions by:

• Embracing and adopting new technologies and open source products
• Proof-of-concept and rapid prototype development for our internal and external customers
• Working with developers to create CI/CD pipelines, reusable units of deployment, and self-service build and test tools

Responsibilities:

• Discover and advocate for new technologies to be used in the enterprise
• Develop automation code for build pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud infrastructure
• Design innovative, repeatable, and automated solutions for various systems and tasks
• Day-to-day operations of cloud and on-premises infrastructure including system availability, monitoring, performance, capacity, and continuity by response to incidents, events, and other issues
• System administration and development for various host platforms running on a variety of frameworks and solution stacks

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in Unix system administration and Bash script development including networking, block device management, partitioning, LVM, SNMP, init.d and systemd services, application configuration
• Experience working with code repositories and build tools including GIT, GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo
• Experience building automated cloud infrastructure including Ansible, ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform
• Experience writing automated configuration management code including Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Experience defining networks, subnets, and firewall rules in code

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience working on a software development team including Java, JavaScript, PHP
• Experience in an enterprise cloud environment including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working with containerization technologies including Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes
