As the Director, Head of NA Digital Farming, you will be responsible for building the North American Digital Farming business by leading and coordinating the development of the North American Digital Farming offerings, product launches, and operations, including processing and channel positioning. You will also support the establishment of a community of best practices for Digital Farming within the North American community and lead the Canadian Xarvio team to success.

As a Director Head of NA Digital Farming, you create chemistry by...

• Driving sales targets and closely monitoring essential business KPIs, while effectively managing resources to successfully achieve organizational objectives.
• Establishing retail and promotional partnerships to support commercial growth and the development of connected solutions.
• Providing expert advice to BASF Agricultural Solutions North America on Digital Farming, services, and outcome-based solutions, while refining and implementing the global and short-term Digital Farming Strategy for Xarvio Digital Farming Solutions in the US and Canada.
• Leading the development of marketing strategies and action plans while optimizing resources, including promotional budgets and full-time equivalents (FTEs). 
• Fostering effective communication synergies to enhance brand visibility and implementing metrics to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) over time.
• Supervising team members to ensure alignment with our company’s mission while promoting their personal and professional growth.
• Aligning work with strategic company objectives, prioritizing tasks according to key initiatives and available resources, and fostering effective collaboration with Xarvio teams and other BASF departments.

If you...

 

• Hold a Master of Science (MSc) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Agriculture.
• Have over 10 years of experience in the agriculture industry, particularly in Business Development, with a strong affinity for IT or knowledge of the commercial agricultural retail environment in North America.
• Possess a passion for driving innovation and change within the agriculture industry, supported by a deep understanding of digital agricultural market trends and technologies.
• Exhibit exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate expertise in cross-functional problem-solving and strategic thinking.
• Thrive in independent work with an entrepreneurial mindset, and are adept at exploring new fields and championing innovative initiatives.
