What you'll do...

The Walmart Dairy Plant in Fort Wayne, IN is one of the largest Milk Processing Plants in the United States. We provide our customers with the freshest, high-quality milk at everyday low prices for families. We are seeking to hire an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician with industrial maintenance experience to answer maintenance calls throughout the facility.

Job Duties:

• Assists other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
• Cleans and maintains grounds parking lots fencing and building facilities eg bathrooms plumbing
• Completes work orders records logs and other written or computer based documents according to established procedures
• Troubleshoots basic problems with equipment where the repair is visible or obvious
• Operates material handling equipment battery equipment moving machinery and other powered equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment eg lift trucks pneumatic systems material handling equipment hydraulic equipment dock equipment banana room equipment electronic and electrical equipment etc according to procedures
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies data and resources collaborating with managers coworkers customers and other business partners identifying priorities deadlines and expectations carrying out tasks communicating progress and information determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change difficulties and feedback
• Complies with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices
