As a Group Leader – Welding, you will coordinate with supervisors to organize and plan work for the department per the daily schedule. They will support the team and provide oversight and guidance for team members.
What You’ll Do:
- Wear all safety equipment, follow safety rules, and support and promote safety in the work areas
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled
- Adept at communicating with all levels of staff, including supervisors and technicians
- May train new team members and/or coordinate training efforts
- Assigns team members to perform duties to support production
- Must ensure forklift pre-shift inspection is being completed
- Ensures process lines are operating and ensures maintenance support when needed
- May operate material handling equipment to transport stored items, when needed to support production
- Checks/communicates with PIC and supervisor about outages or equipment conditions
- Has good attendance, good quality record, and is dependable
- Assist coworkers with breakdowns, clock issues, and equipment/machine operational issues
- Assists the department with investigations, communication, and any rework/repair needed of equipment, or corrective action
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
- One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
- 5 years related experience and/or training required
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, operating and main
