Earned Value Specialist III

As an Earned Value Specialist, you will provide Earned Value Management implementation support to maintain industry best practices and ensure compliance with all government requirements. You will develop standard procedures, conduct EVM Workshops/Trainings to enhance EVM skills within the Program Management and Business Operations communities, and provide oversight to establish program management ownership of program performance data.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying training gaps and participate in determining and implementing solutions (tools, process and training) for various SNC initiatives
• Creating EVMS process documentation and Earned Value Management System Description revisions / updates
• Researching industry EVM best practices and incorporate into established processes
• Leading efforts for successful completion of Program IBRs, JSRs and Internal Surveillances (to include completion of actions items)
• Enforce program utilization of EVMS that is in compliance with guidelines in ANSI/EIA-748 and is in accordance with provisions of DFARS 252.234-7002
• Reviewing and auditing EV deliverables on programs
• Successful implementation of EV tools
• Establish EVM templates/formats to include: Program Performance Metrics, RAM, Program Baseline Change Control Logs
• Develop and conduct EVM training workshops
• Co-lead the EVM working groups

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of work experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• 5+ years of applied Earned Value and analysis experience
• Proactive leadership and maintain credibility both internally and externally to drive improvement
• Significant interface with VPs, Directors, Business Managers and Program Management personnel, as well as interface with outside customers
• Position requires a strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), as well as, financial analysis
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks leading to completion of project deliverables on time at highest level of quality
• Familiarity with software packages (e.g., Deltek Cobra and wInsight; and Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint)
• Strong data analysis, program evaluation and critical thinking skills\ Functional knowledge of system and technology alternatives
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills

Preferred:

• A CAM background, EVP and/or PMP is preferred
• Working knowledge of scheduling best practices is preferred
• Experience with EVMS Certification is preferred

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $79,264.96 - $108,989.32. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
