Seasonal Heating Service Technician

As a Seasonal Heating Service Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of our customers. Your goal will be to troubleshoot and perform diagnostic activities regarding service equipment within our established policies and procedures.

Your Role:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot oil and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and oil tanks
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems that occur by reviewing diagnostics and using the proper tools to complete repairs
• Provide final inspections of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely
• Complete appropriate daily paperwork for each service call
• Maintain daily and yearly inventory
• Ensure the service truck is in good working order and reliable
• Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.
• Rotational on call evenings and weekends

Your Skills:

• Ability to work well with others; good organization and communication skills; attention to detail and strong customer service
• Frequent driving, climbing in and out of vehicle and working in confined spaces.  Heavy lifting and ability to work at heights ranging up to 50 ft
• Ability to install various types of heating equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
• Strong decision-making skills

Your Experience:

• A valid Propane or natural gas license. Nora Certification is an asset
• Knowledge of wiring and plumbing is required
• Previous heating technician experience preferred
