What you will make! $32-36K annually
What Will You Do?
The Youth Support Partner’s primary purpose is to provide support, guidance, mentoring, advocacy, and empowerment to the youth assigned to their caseload. Performance will be measured by your individual outcomes, achieving your individual targets/goals, your contribution to your overall program team/department and your buy-in to the culture of the organization. The Youth Support Partner should have the following skills:
- Build one-on-one working relationships with youth to identifying and articulating their priority needs.
- Mentor youth and provide opportunities for growth and leadership.
- Provide offsite resources such as recreation programs and education/employment support.
- Works closely with the WRAP facilitator to support positive outcomes for the youth and family.
- Maintain all required documentation.
- Help youth develop and achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
Requirements
What qualifications do you need?
The Youth Support Partner must have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services field and one year of experience working with target population
- Associate degree in human service field with 2 years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth
- Must have lived experience as a parent/primary caregiver for a child who has/had mental health/ substance use disorder or intellectual/developmental disability or who has received services (clinical/preventative services, DJJ, educational services, etc.)
- Experience in navigating any of the child and family-serving systems
- A valid driver’s license, at least 3 years of driving with a driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
