Laboratory Maintenance Associate

What You’ll Be Doing:

We are looking for a Lab Maintenance Associate to maintain and upkeep our laboratory spaces in our Brooklyn office. In this position, you will need to manage laboratory equipment and supplies, and organization to expedite the research and development. This is a temporary full time position.

• Perform routine laboratory functions to support research and development
• Setting up, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment
• Cleans, breaks down, and stores laboratory equipment, facilities, and supplies after completion of laboratory exercises, as required.
• Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Support employee engagement and be a culture ambassador; serve as a positive and welcoming presence as the first point of contact for all employees.
• Maintain a full-time presence in the office (Monday - Friday, 1pm - 8pm), making yourself available for immediate assistance and fostering a sense of community among employees.
• Coordinate office maintenance and enforcing a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
• Assist the research and development team with special projects

Requirements

The minimum requirements we seek:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of professional experience in a laboratory setting preferred
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations preferred
• Capable of wearing multiple hats and adapting to the evolving needs of a fast-paced start-up

The pay range for this position is $25 to $28 p/hr. The pay range is applicable to positions physically based in New York City. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
