Product Management Intern

Job Overview

Join the Marvin Connected Home team that is responsible for Marvin’s digital strategy. Our intern will learn about product management and product owner competencies as well as gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end product lifecycle for physical and digital products in the smart home space.

Highlights of your role

• Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, marketing, etc.) to support ongoing new product development projects to remain on schedule
• Lead market research efforts to build smart home integrator personas for the Marvin Connected Home team
• Lead competitive analysis on products and companies in the smart home market and propose new opportunities for the Marvin Connected Home portfolio
• Assist product portfolio manager with voice of customer analysis and its impact on product roadmap and product requirements
• Assist marketing and sales with Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for new product launches
• Analyze insights from Marvin Connected Home app customer journey with PowerBI, Google Analytics and Firebase
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings for the Marvin Connected Home mobile app to stay aligned with the development team
• Test and validate product features to ensure they meet user needs and company standards

Compensation

$18.00 - $22.50 per hour

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in business, marketing or a related field
• Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment (2 days in office per week) for at least 12-weeks full-time
• Familiarity or willingness to learn product management tools (ex: Jira, Figma, Smartsheet, etc.)
• Passion for technology, problem solving and delivering value to customers
• Previous internship or project experience in marketing, product management, user experience (UX) preferred
• Must be able to work with Microsoft Office Suite (word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
