Join us at the Precision Navigation Software Department as a Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining radar systems for land, air, and sea applications. We're seeking an exceptional engineer who can bolster the longevity of our radar products. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in legacy radar hardware and software technologies, coupled with a keen interest and capability to modernize these products onto current platforms while ensuring the continued functionality, troubleshooting, and patching of our deployed systems. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in advancing radar technology and ensuring the reliability of critical defense systems.

What Will You Do
    • Software sustainment activities for legacy radar systems, to involve troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching
    • Support software integration, testing, and verification
    • Occasional travel to other Massachusetts locations

Qualifications You Must Have
    • Embedded C++ software development experience
    • Experience developing on VxWorks and Linux/Unix platforms
    • Radar domain experience
    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
    • Ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance or Higher is REQUIRED
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer
    • Single Board Computer and Board Support Package experience
    • Pearl/Python Scripting experience
    • Experience in development in a DevOps environment
    • Prior experience in software testing and debugging source code, including familiarity with ClearCase/ClearQuest, Jira for configuration management
    • Agile Software Development
    • DOORS requirements database experience
    • Java object-oriented design/development
