About the role

Dematic has an immediate need for an Electrical Mechanical Technician 4 in Plainville, CT. Candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in controls engineering. Qualified candidates are proficient in PLC communications, Equipment Management Software. Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Acts as a multi-crafted technician on all equipment that is installed. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 7PM to 7AM. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $33 - $37.50 hr. the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. 

 

What You Will Do In This Role 

  • The Maintenance Technician Level IV is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance.  

  • Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at a specific site location. 

  •  Provides assistance and mentors lower-level employees. 

  • Repair and maintenance of MHE, including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc. 

  • Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures. 

  • Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry. 

  • Create and close work orders in the asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. 

  • Troubleshoot conveyance problems and understand resources needed to resolve them. 

  • Locate and track spare parts from inventory. 

  • Performs complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications. 

  • Provide assistance with training customers to operate equipment. 

  • Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults. 

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. 

  • Lead a team through a variety of repairs and situations as they arise.  

  • Perform audits of equipment and work done by the shift or prior shift to ensure a standard quality of PMs or repairs performed.
