The Role

Metropolis Technologies is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Enterprise Systems Transformations to lead our enterprise-wide transformation, encompassing the implementation of Oracle Fusion ERP and Workday HCM. This is a highly critical and visible role, responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of integrated financial, human capital, and operational systems. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned program leader with a proven track record of navigating complex, multi-vendor implementations, mitigating risks, and driving significant organizational change to achieve strategic business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership and Strategy
    • Define and articulate the overall program vision, strategy, scope, objectives, and success metrics for the integrated Oracle ERP and Workday HCM implementation
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive, integrated program plan, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, and budget across ERP and HCM workstreams
    • Ensure the program aligns with Metropolis's overarching business strategy, financial goals, and enterprise readiness objectives
  • Risk Management and Value Realization
    • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, with a critical focus on preventing "shelfware" by aligning system readiness and adoption with contractual capacity commitments
    • Develop and implement strategies to ensure maximum value realization from our significant investments in Oracle and Workday, driving optimal utilization and ROI
    • Manage and resolve complex issues, dependencies, and conflicts that arise across the program
  • Vendor and Partner Management
    • Lead and manage relationships with external systems integrators (SIs), third-party consultants, and software vendors (Oracle, Workday)
    • Oversee vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contracts, SOWs, and service level agreements (SLAs)
    • Act as the primary point of contact for high-level commercial and strategic discussions with key vendors
  • Integration and Architecture Oversight
    • Provide strategic oversight for the design and implementation of seamless
      integrations between Oracle ERP, Workday HCM, and other critical enterprise applications
    • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all integrated systems
    • Guide the overall solution architecture to meet current and future business needs
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, cross-functional internal core project team (comprising functional leads, data specialists, change managers, etc.)
    • Foster a collaborative environment between internal teams, external consultants, and vendors
    • Champion knowledge transfer from external partners to build sustainable internal capabilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
    • Establish and manage a robust program governance structure, including regular reporting and presentations to the CEO, ELT, and Steering Committee
    • Act as the primary communication conduit for all program updates, challenges, and successes to executive leadership and the broader organization
    • Drive organizational change management (OCM) efforts, ensuring effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement to maximize user adoption

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT and business leadership  roles, with at least 8-10 years directly managing large-scale, complex ERP and HCM implementation programs.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience leading successful, full lifecycle implementations of both Oracle Fusion ERP (or a comparable tier-1 ERP such as SAP S/4HANA) and Workday HCM
  • Proven experience managing multi-vendor environments and complex system integrations
  • Experience in a high-growth, pre-IPO, or publicly traded company environment is highly desirable
